We know there is an artistic component to many crafts and products. However, for the purposes of the Festival, "Artist" refers to someone engaged in the production of "Fine Arts" - i.e. painting, sculpting, drawing, etc.

each individually created and can not ever be reproduced in exactly the same way

created for the sole purpose of its aesthetic value and judged only for its beauty and meaningfulness or the emotions it elicits.

Produced commercially and sold by me,
or

Produced by me according to a specific pattern or set of steps resulting in products that are materially the same each time I make them. (examples: pottery, wooden crafts, laser-cut metal, macrame, knitting, crocheting, etc.)

Utilitarian in nature - created for a purpose beyond their aesthitics
