Taking Balfour is a progressive alternative rock band from Ontario, known for emotionally powerful vocals, crushing guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and intricate bass grooves—all wrapped in a layer of atmospheric keys that add cinematic depth. Since forming in 2020, we’ve built a loyal following through high-energy live shows and immersive songwriting that explores themes of belief, struggle, and the human experience.
Our latest album Dawn of Polaris showcases our evolution, blending heavy melodic hooks with progressive structure and raw emotion. We’ve headlined events like Gainfest and Kronik Kristmas, toured with Jupiter Hollow, and shared the stage with Buckcherry.
