About

SWEETWOOD MAC

That “California Sound”

Sweetwood Mac is an eclectic group of Ontario musicians who grew up in the 70’s and 80’s playing almost everything but Fleetwood Mac. There were so many bands from that era who would eventually define a generation (and beyond). Of course, Fleetwood Mac crafted music that was a soundtrack to the lives of many, so it’s no wonder that (somewhere in this great big world) their melodic magic would bring together a group like-minded and talented musicians to help keep the music fresh and alive. Enter Sweetwood Mac.

The roads of Sweetwood Mac’s band members began to converge in London back in 2018 when childhood friends Jennifer Vanderheyden (Vocals) and Tony Gryner (Keyboards) reconnected over word of Vanderheyden’s desire to pay homage to one of her favourite bands. One-by-one, other talented musicians joined the fray… some left… but eventually the current line-up was formed, bringing with it a mix of experience and chemistry not easy to find. Lois Kelly (Vocals), Anthony Krieger (Guitars/Vocals), Chad Archibald (Bass) and Warren Stinson (Drums) made the line-up solid and complete in every way. You can tell that these musicians truly enjoy being together.

Who doesn’t love to imagine a beach, a sunset, a breath of fresh air and that “California sound” that generated hits spanning decades? Sweetwood Mac has found a way to accurately replicate every memorable song and musical style generated by the original band and all of its iterations. Their bonus tribute to the music of Stevie Nicks (and even some Christine McVie) is the icing on the cake. If you like the California mega-hit sound of Fleetwood Mac, you’ll love Sweetwood Mac.
